Gypsy was adopted as a 4 month old kitten, but was the size of a 2 month old, as she'd been pretty badly neglected. It took a long time for her new owner to gain Gypsy's trust, but once she did, Gypsy became an extremely affectionate cat, tho still a little wary of strangers.
Sadly, Gypsy's owner's health has deteriorated and she is having to move in with family. They have a dog and it's just not an appropriate home for Gypsy to move to.
She can be a bit skittish, and may take a while to trust, as she's only ever lived with her one elderly owner. She loves head butts and having her cheeks stroked, and really likes to be able to sit in the sun and watch the world go by. She has been known to catch mice and insects (but never birds), but not very often now that she's getting older.
Once she gets to know and love you, she's a real lap cat!
Gypsy needs a quiet, adult home, with no young children or other pets.
Gypsy entered the shelter on the 20th of March 2016.
Her adoption fee is $80.
